569,922. Linear-dimension gauges. AKTIEBOLAGET SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN. June 29, 1943, No. 10504. Convention date, June 30, 1942. [Class 106 (ii)] A device for gauging several dimensions in one operation comprises fixed arm 1 and a slidable arm 2, the latter being connected, by means not shown, to a dial indicator. As arranged for testing the overall size and root diameter of a threaded workpiece 16, the fixed arm 1 carries a plane block 4 and a threaded roller 8, the movable arm 2 having a cylindrical roller 5 and a threaded roller 8. The cylindrical roller 5 is eccentrically mounted on a pin 50 so that the distance between the block 4 and the roller 5 can be adjusted. In addition, the distance between the arms 1, 2 is adjustable, the arm 2 being locked in position by a bolt engaging a V-groove in the member supporting the arm. The overall diameter is testedby passing the workpiece between the block 4 and cylinder 5 and the root diameter by passing it between the rollers 8. The arm 2 can be swivelled about its locking bolt to adjust the rollers 8 into parallel relationship. More than two pairs of gauging members may be provided on the arms.
