Abstract

569,703. Radiators for engines. LONGHURST, F. Sept. 7, 1943. No. 14608. [Class 64 (iii)] An engine radiator comprises frame composed of channel-shaped parts a, b of headers welded or brazed to side or leg members c, and water-tubes d, which may be gilled. soldered or brazed in spaced apertures in the channelshaped parts. The apertures are punched so as to leave collar-like margins for the reception of soldering or brazing material. '' Mounted on the radiator is an oil cooler comprising headers g, g<1> and gilled tubes h Oil enters the upper header g through the pipe j, which passes through the lower header g<1>and extends up to the upper header.
