[Class 100 (ii)] In a machine for embossing fabrics, paper, &c. comprising an engraved metal roller C and an impression roller A, the shafts of the rollers are connected by universal joints B, D, e.g. Oldham type, to short shafts a<1>, c<1> carrying intermeshing gear-wheels A<1>, C' and mounted in stationary bearings e. The cylinders A, C thus can move relatively without affecting the gearing.
