Abstract

568,781. Pistons. SILENTBLOC, Ltd., and TRIER, V. A. Oct. 15, 1943, No. 16928. [Class 122 (i)] A pump or motor piston A is formed in one with the connecting rod A<1> and a packing ring G is disposed between the piston and cylinder walls, whereby oscillation and reciprocation of the piston distorts the packing and causes it to travel along the cylinder wall. The piston and cylinder walls may be concave. The packing ring may be hollow and filled with air or other fluid under pressure and the cylinder is formed in two parts C, C<1> to facilitate assembly.
