569,519. Pistons. VAUXHALL MOTORS, Ltd., PARKER, A. E., and RIX, E. D. Dec. 3, 1943, No. 20199. [Class 122 (i)] To facilitate assembly of a piston in its cylinder, a piston or scraper ring is held in the compressed condition by means of pins or a forked member 8 engaging registering holes 6a, 7 b in the ring and wall of the groove. The holes may be parallel or at right angles to the piston axis and may extend wholly or partially through the ring.
