567,688. Valves. ELLISON INSULATIONS, Ltd., MORGAN, W. A., and CATTERMOLE, H. S. July 13, 1943, No. 11372. [Class 135] A multiple-way hydraulic valve has two independently actuated lift valves o arranged in supply and exhaust chambers and adapted to co-operate with seats f on the opposite ends of an axial bore e connected at an intermediate point g with the machine to be controlled. The valve members are slidably and rotatably mounted in screwed actuating spindles engaging threads on plugs h screwed into the supply and exhaust chambers and provided with actuating handles k. The valve members which are acted on by springs q are held in recesses in the ends of the spindles by screwed rings p and are formed with transverse and axial passages, whereby fluid is admitted to the recesses which in turn are connected by passages t with chambers housing packing rings l surrounding the valve spindles.
