566,708. Top rollers for mules, ring frames &c. RYDER'& SON, Ltd., T., and RYDER, G. A. July 12, 1943, No. 11288. [Class 120 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] A loose-boss top roller for self-acting mules, ring frames and speed frames comprises two castiron bosses a with self-oiling bronze bushes b, of less length than the width of the bosses and a spindle c with a flange d at each side of the weight hook space e, each flange d entering the respective boss a and abutting on the bush b, but not touching the bosses a, the spindle c having two portions f which come centrally within the bushes and provide journal bearings for the bosses. The bushes b are forced under pressure into the bosses a.
