[Class 12 (i)] [Also in Group V] A bearing for rotating shafts comprises an outer metal bearing sleeve 12, and an inner softer bush 11 moulded on the shaft 10 and formed of a porous metal or a porous artificial resin. This bush is moulded in a sleeve 13, heated electrically and pressed by a piston 17, moved by the screw 19. In a modification the mould is formed in two halves and the plunger is pressed in by a vice.
