[Class 106 (ii)] A thickness or depth gauge comprises a main body portion 11 with a slide 12 secured thereto by means of clips 20, both the body and slide being provided with work engaging feet 15, 16 and the slide being provided with a pointer 19 which cooperates with a scale 13 pivoted at 14 to the body 11 to show the distance between the feet and the thickness of the body being measured. When used as a depth gauge, the thickness of the foot on the body is added to the reading on the scale.
