Abstract

563,224. Lighting fitting supports. REVO ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and REEVES, R. Feb. 3. 1943, No. 1763. [Class 75 (iii)] Trough lighting fittings are supported by two separable cranked strip members b, d of substantially similar outline and dimensions, the member b being secured by screws c to the trough a of the fitting and having interlocking engagement with the member d which is suspended from the ceiling &c. by a tubular rod e, chains, or links, or attached to a junction box on the wall or ceiling. The interlocking engagement between the members b, d, may be provided by inwardly or outwardly projecting pins d<1> on the end flanges d<2> of the member d engaging bayonet or upwardly directed slots b<2> in the end flanges b<1> of the member d. The member d may be provided with depending longitudinal. flanges so that when assembled the fixture mounting has the appearance of a closed rectangular box.
