Abstract

562,433. Cathode-ray tubes. BAIRD, J. L. July 23, 1943, No. 180/44. Divided out of Complete Specification of 562,168. [Class 39 (i)] The luminescent screen of a cathode-ray tube is arranged so as to be visible, without distortion by the envelope, on both sides. In one form, the screen 2, Fig. 1, is carried by a transparent plate 1 mounted in a spherical bulb 3 and scanned by a beam from a side-tube 5. In another form, the bulb is hemispherical and the plate 1, Fig. 2, forms part of the envelope.
