[Class 7 (vi)] Inlet and exhaust valves having ported conical portions c, d are rotated intermittently by Geneva stop mechanisms &c. e, g, h, m and are held firmly against the cylinder ports by helical springs u except when a face cam y on the Geneva stop mechanism rocks levers w to ease the valves off their seatings against the pressure of the springs u to facilitate rotation.
