558,420. Inflating valves. WINGFOOT CORPORATION. April 16, 1942, No. 5066. Convention date, Dec. 20, 1941. [Class 135] A replacement inflating valve for a multichambered tyre, particularly of the type described in Specification 456,294, [Group XXXIV], comprises a relatively rigid valve casing 20a with a longitudinal bore 22a having a reduced port 28a leading to an inner chamber A and a lateral extension 40 leading by way of passage 26a to a chamber B between inner and outer tubes. The metal casing is covered with rubber 18a vulcanized to the casing and having an integral circular relatively flat flange 32a adapted to be secured to the outside of the outer tube. An extension 42 of this covering is adapted to be secured in the eyelet 16a of vulcanizable rubber usually incorporated in the engaging base portions of the tubes.
