556,174. Handles. AXE, G. A. Feb. 3, 1943, No. 348/42. [Class 61 (i)] A handle for flat tanged implements such as knives comprises two hollow scales 20 formed with contacting side walls 21 and transverse ribs 23 extending between the side walls and providing contact surfaces 25 adapted to bear on the implement tang 26 and at least one of the scales having a locating projection or projections 32, 33 standing up above the level of the contact surfaces 25 and interlocking with recesses in the edges of the tang.
