[Class 61 (i)] A tool tang &c. a is secured in the wood &c. handle b by means of a key d engaging a transverse slot cut in the handle and extending half way into the tool tang, removal of the key being prevented by a cap or ferrule c secured by an indentation e. Instead of the key a pin may be employed extending through holes in the handle and tang.
