[Class 126] A portable grate for domestic fire places comprises a slotted front 7, imperforate converging sides 5 and back 6, a slotted base 10 supported by legs 9 above the hearth, a shutter 12 slidably mounted below the base to control the draught through the openings 11 in the base, and a T-shaped handle 14 having inturned ends 15 adapted to engage with ears or sockets 16 on the sides to enable the grate to be transported from one room to another.
