555,174. Baling yarns or twines. BRITISH ROPES, Ltd., ALMEROTH, H. H., and RICHARDSON, F. Jan. 5, 1942, No. 157. [Class 120 (iii)] [Also in Group XXV] Yarns or twines 2 for use in baling are twisted into a strand 1 with a twist of the same direction as that of the fibres 3 in the yarns or twines ; the yarns or twines thus tend to unlay and when a length is cut from the strand, the individual yarns or twines can be readily separated for use in tying up bales. The strand may be wound or formed into a coil, cheese, or other package and the free end is prevented from untwisting by a collar 4 or the like slipped over the ends of the yarns or twines.
