Abstract

552,535. Covering blocks for underground cables. CABLE COVERS, Ltd., and DRYSDALE, J. Feb. 2, 1942, No. 1389. [Class 87 (i)] A protective tile for covering underground electric cables comprises an outer part 1 with ridged top 2 and a dovetailed groove 4 on the under side, and an inner part 3 of trapezoidal section adapted to slide in the groove 4 leaving the base of the tile flush. In assembling a line of tiles, the outer and inner parts break joint with each other, as shown in Fig. 4, so that the tiles are all interlocked.
