Abstract

767,574. Conduits. BRITISH PETROLEUM CO., Ltd., LAMB, D. H. G. R., and HOADLEY, E. W. Aug. 26, 1955 [Sept. 20, 1954], No. 27124/54. Class 36. A resilient strip 10 for protecting a cable 14 laid across a road has a substantially flat undersurface to lie on the road and a longitudinal groove 11 in its upper surface, the side portions of the upper strip being inclined downwardly on either side of the groove and preferably terminating in vertical portions 15. Two such strips may be connected together by a member of T-shaped cross-section, the leg 13 of the member fitting into the grooves 11 and the cross-part 12 lying flat on the upper surfaces of the strips.
