Abstract

551,498. Electron-multipliers. BOSCH, F. J. G. VAN DEN, and VACUUM-SCIENCE PRODUCTS, , Ltd. July 23, 1941, No. 9340. [Class 39 (i)] In electron multipliers, having a number of secondary emitting electrodes and a collecting electrode carried by a number of supports common to all as described in Specification 540,893, one. of the secondary emitting electrodes 18 is arranged on the side of the collector electrode 17 away from the cathode, and is connected to the output circuit. According to the Provisional Specification, the collecting electrode may be the output electrode, in which case an additional electrode at higher potential is provided preferably on the cathode side of the collecting electrode. Specifications-516,621 and 531,541 are referred to in the Provisional Specification.
