Abstract

548,540. Agricultural elevators. SMITH, A. E., and BLACKSTONE & CO., Ltd. April 10, 1941, No. 4802. [Class 78 (i)] A trough conveyer pivoted at the lower end to a wheeled vehicle is supported at an adjustable angle by cables passing over pulleys located near the top of a pair of poles 7. The poles form a rigid frame pivoted at 9 to uprights 5 which form struts spacing apart two longitudinal braced members 1, 2 comprising the chassis of the vehicle. The poles 7 can be brought to a substantially horizontal position, and when erected about the pivot 9 can be secured in one or more positions by inserting a pin through a hole in a fixed plate 10, through the end of the pole extension 7a, and through the upright 5. Tubular metal construction may be employed.
