Abstract

407,462. Tennis posts. LAKE, A. E., 113, Dunmow Road, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire. Nov. 18, 1932, No. 32606. [Class 20 (i).] A portable tennis post is formed of hinged members forming post, base, and strut, which can collapse on each other. The post is formed of two uprights which are crossconnected and carry a pulley A<1> at the top for the net cord, these members sloping outwardly towards the ground. The base is formed of two strip members B<1>, B<2> which embrace the post and are cross - connected by a pinning-plate B<4> at the rear and by a bearing plate B<3> at the front, provided with two clips B<5> under which is slipped the end plate C' of the strut members C<1>, which are pivoted at their upper ends to the post.
