As applied to the inflation cap of a shock absorber for aircraft undercarriages, the inflation fitting 12 extends transversely of the absorber cylinder 11 the concentric projection 14 extending through the opposite wall and being drilled to pass the spring that is reclined in a transverse groove 11 in the cylinder wall thus locking the fitting itself against removal.
