Abstract
546,262. Refrigerators. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 6, 1941, No. 12878. Convention date, Oct. 7, 1940. [Class 29] "Breaker" strips 22 of non-metallic non-conducting material such as synthetic resin are secured between the flanges 18, 19 of the outer casing and liner of the cabinet or the door by S-section strips 23, preferably of sheet steel, which have resilient faces 28, 28a engaging the connected parts, and are provided at longitudinally spaced intervals with stiffening corrugations 27 or projections. The exposed parts of the strips may be covered with a decorative strip 29 of stainless steel. The wall and liner may be spaced apart by insulating bridge members 16 secured by screws engaging brackets 20 welded to the wall and liner, and the joints of the breaker strips are covered by corner members 30.
