[Class 126] [Also in Group XIII] A door for a heat-insulated heating-chamber includes a frame formed of members each comprising iron strips 25, 26 welded together at their edges, an outer iron sheet 11 the edges 27 of which are bent around the frame, and an inner iron sheet 12 secured to the frame through the intermediary of strips 14 of synthetic resin &c. The sheet 11 is secured by screws 19 to plates 21 the lugs 43, Fig. 3, on the inner ends of which are engaged in slots in the strips 14, said strips having slots 37 engaged over tongues 36, Fig. 4, in slots 22 formed in the frame strips 25. The strips 14 are held in position by a frame 23 having tongues 24 projecting through a gasket 17 into grooves formed in edge closure strips 15 of synthetic resin &c, the inner ends of which support packing strips 20 held in position by the edges of the door sheet 12. The door is insulated by, e.g., sheets 13 of foil. In a modification, the door frame is formed of channelled strips 50, Fig. 5, and the plates 21 are riveted to the strips 14. The door sheets 11, 12 and the surfaces of the frame members may be coated with lacquer or paint.
