Abstract

544,403. Television amplifier. PHILCO RADIO & TELEVISION CORPORATION. May 14, 1940, No. 8645. Convention date, May 24, 1939. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] In a television receiving circuit comprising a picture signal channel 11, and a synchronizing channel both fed from a valve 1 supplied with the detected signal 2, the load circuit of the valve 1 is arranged to include an inductive section 4, 5 in series with a capacitative section 3, 8 so designed that a wide band of frequencies is obtained across the whole and supplied to the synchronizing channel and a narrower band sufficient for the picture is obtained across the inductive section and supplied to the picture channel. The picture channel includes a diode 9 and resistance 10 for levelling the signal for example as described in Specification 537,856. The synchronizing channel includes a similar leveller 13, 14 and a valve 15 which passes only the peaks of the signal for controlling the deflecting circuit S.
