543,381. Handling incendiary bombs. WHITHAM, A. Feb. 17, 1941, No. 2092. [Class 61 (ii)] An incendiary bomb handling device comprises a long shaft a carrying a forked jaw d fixed to the lower end and a jaw e pivoted thereto at f and operated by a rod g and lever handle i pivoted to the shaft at k, a compression spring l normally holding the pivoted jaw open. In the modification shown in Fig. 3 the jaws are arranged so that the spring l normally holds the pivoted jaw n in closed position and a shield p carried by a spring grip q slidable along the shaft is adapted to be clamped in any position by a bolt r.
