Abstract

541,668. Filing papers. LIBRARY BUREAU, Ltd., and WIMHURST, E. N. June 4, 1940, No. 9795. [Class 146 (i)] In a filing system with folders 8 suspended transversely between a pair of longitudinal rails 2, 3, the folders are suspended from rollers or small wheels 9 running on the rails. The folders are attached to bars 13 with notched ends engaging rings 12 carried by stirrups 10 journalled in the rollers 9. Each stirrup has one or two rollers for use with a channel-section or I-section rail. The folders may be suspended independently but preferably each intermediate bar 13 carries one side of adjacent folders secured to two rows of stitching 15. The rails carry adjustable stops 16 and are secured by angles 6 to end plates 4, 5 forming a chassis. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 528,053.
