Abstract

763,627. Ring loose leaf binders. BROADHURST, C. J. April 15, 1955 [Feb. 11, 1954], No. 4061/54. Class 146(1). A multi-ring loose leaf binder comprises a pair of bars 1, 6 each having a series of longitudinally spaced arches 12, 13, the bars 1, 6 being rockable, as by levers 11 at each end, within a spine 10 to open and close the arches and each bar 1, 6 having arches alternating in length so that short arches 13 on one bar face the longer arches 12 on the other and in the sheet holding, or closed, position shown, the ends of each pair of arches form a zig-zag line to prevent accidental detachment of a sheet. A continuous gap, for the insertion of sheets, is formed between the pairs of arches when the levers 11 are operated to move the bars 1, 6 to the open position.
