[Class 146 (i)] In a filing-cabinet having suspended holders slidable on guide-rails, the folders are detachably connected together, in order to prevent the -passage of papers between them, by coupling-means in the form of hooks located at the extreme ends of the folders. In one arrangement the folders G, Figs. 1 and 4, are of box-form and have suspension-bars g<4>, g<5>, one of which is a flat strip and the other in the form of a channel-member of inverted U-shape, the bars resting upon guide-rails E forming part of a framework A. The bar g<4> of each folder has at its ends inwardly or upwardly turned hooks g<13>, Figs. 5 and 8, which engage in the channel-member of the next folder, so as to couple them together. Each folder contains an inner folder h, Fig. 3, also of box form, in which the documents are placed. Inclined side-plates D, Fig. 1, on the framework A serve to align the inner and outer folders. In a modification, the folders are of the ordinary form, with flat suspension-bars, one of which carries hooks at its ends for engagement with a bar of an adjacent folder.
