Abstract
415,186. Filters. MANOR ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., Manor Street, Fenton, and MALKIN, E. W., 3, Kings Avenue, Wolstanton, both in Stoke-on-Trent. March 28, 1933, No. 9252. [Class 46.] The trays of a filter-press are kept in correct transverse relation to their supports by antifriction devices provided on each side of the individual trays and co-operating with auxiliary rail or other guides. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the trays a are supported by rollers e on side bars b and guided by rollers f which engage the bars b and auxiliary guide rails g. The rollers f are mounted on brackets which are parallel with one another but extend forwardly and backwardly on either side of each tray respectively. Figs. 4 and 6 shown an arrangement in which each tray is supported by a double-armed hanger k with rollers e running on the flanges of a girder b <1>. Guide rollers f, engaging the sides of the girders b<1> and auxiliary guide rails g, are mounted on brackets j extending forwardly and rearwardly respectively from the arms of each hanger k.
