Abstract

541,537. Grease gun couplings. STANLEY, F. R. Aug. 8, 1940, No. 12734. [Class 99 (i)] In a detachable coupling for a grease gun in which the flanged end of a lubricating nipple is gripped in recesses formed by undercutting a jaw A<SP>1</SP> on a fixed member A and a jaw H on a sliding member H, the member H slides on the fixed member A and is actuated by the rotation of end F of the grease gun. A screw connection E is provided between the part F and the member H. The block A is closed by a cap D which houses a spring that bears on the flange E<SP>1</SP> of a tubular spindle E screwed to the grease gun F. A seating C on which the nipple bears is carried by the block A.
