235,773. Grosset, P. Nov. 11, 1924. Chucks ; sockets.-ln a drill chucks the drill is held in a conical sleeve 2 secured in the member 1 by means of a screw cap 3. A spring ring 4 is adapted to coact with a flange 5 on the cap so that when the cap is unscrewed the sleeve is simultaneously withdrawn from its seating. The member 1 may itself be provided with a flange and may be secured in the spindle of a lathe or like by a similar screw-joint.
