Yielding drive attachments. -An adjustable slipping coupling for connecting a drilling, tapping &c socket or chuck 7 to a driving-spindle 1 comprises a flange 2 on the spindle 1, vulcanized fibre &c. washes 3, 4 and a presser ring 5 having a conical face 5<1>., with which coact balls 14 adapted to be thrust out, as shown at the right-hand side of the drawing, by the bevelled end 13 of a screwed adjusting-sleeve 12. The balls bear on a steel ring 6, held by the flange 10 of a cap 8 screwed on the chuck 7.
