704,380. Handles. PHILLIPS & CROSS, Ltd. Feb. 26, 1953 [March 4, 1952], No. 5580/52. Class 52(1) A handle fitting comprises an attachment piece 10 with a central block 17 having a seating 18 for the spindle portion 28 of a handle 12. A bridge portion 11 formed with slots 27 engages over the block 17, the curved inner ends of the slots and the seating 18 forming a journal bearing for the spindle 28. The block 17 has recesses 20 to receive the bridge portion 11, thus providing flush end faces to the block and bridge member. The attachment piece 10 is formed with recesses 22 to receive lugs 24 of the bridge member.
