[Class 20 (iv)] Concrete building blocks are each formed with two cavities and are arranged in rows one above the other so that keys 5 of metal, wood, concrete, or burnt clay may be inserted diagonally to engage the cavities of two superposed blocks. Superposed keys 5, 6 rest in contact, and a series of shorter keys 7 are placed at the bottom to support the keys above in correct position. In a modification, the central partition 4 may be of double thickness so that the cavities register accurately. Floors, roofs or walls may be formed of these blocks. An arch may be formed by the insertion of wedges between blocks or by tapering sides of the blocks.
