Abstract

539,882. Nickel alloys. MOND NICKEL CO., Ltd. Sept. 16, 1940, No. 14242. Convention date, Sept. 16, 1939. [Class 82 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVI] Anodes for nickel plating are composed of electrolytically deposited nickel containing from 0.01 to 0.25 per cent. of sulphur together with small amounts of one or more of the metals copper, iron, tin, zinc, or lead. The anodes are deposited from a bath consisting of nickel sulphate and chloride and boric acid, the sulphur being supplied by the addition of sulphonic acid or a sulphonate to the bath, e.g. #-napthalene sulphonic acid or -naphthalene sulphonate.
