Abstract

535,151. Fuel injectors. KAMMER, G. S. Jan. 27, 1940, No. 1701. Addition to 534,724. [Class 7 (iii)] The fuel injector described in the parent Specification for injecting quantities of fuel from different positions in a single-nozzle body is modified so as to provide injections at 10 and 11 through passages 6, 9 and 7, 8, 16 controlled by needle valves 4 and 5 respectively. The valves may be loaded by springs of different strengths so as to open one after the other, and these springs may be additional to the pistons described in the parent Specification. The orifices 10 may be replaced by slits similar to those described in the parent Specification.
