Abstract
535,010. Two-part couplings. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L. M. ERICSSON. April 13,1939, No. 11214. Convention date, April 14, 1938. [Class 38 (i)] The contact pins 4, 5 of a plug coupling 8 have each a notch in its side to engage with the edge of an aperture 2, 3 in a cover plate 1 of the socket member by lateral movement under the action of a spring on the socket member. In the construction shown, the socket contacts are in the form of leaf springs f1, f2 that press on the pins 4, 5 in opposite directions so as to impart a turning movement to the plug member. In this case the pin contacts are displaced from the centre line of the body of the plug member. Alternatively, other spring means may be so arranged as to impart a rectilinear movement to the plug.
