Abstract

533,085. Bakers' ovens. CITY BAKERIES, Ltd., and GREGORY, T. Sept. 18, 1939, No. 26048. [Class 51 (ii)] Apparatus for re-heating bakery products comprises an endless conveyer equipped with trays for the goods and arranged to circulate in a vertical casing heated internally by means of electric heating elements arranged within the orbital path of the conveyer which is driven by an electric motor through speed reducing gearing arranged within the casing. As shown in Fig. 1, the conveyer is arranged in a vertical casing 3 and is mounted on sprocket wheels 7, 7a secured to shafts 8, 9, the lower shaft 9 being supported in floating bearings urged downwardly by springs 11. The conveyer has trays 2 pivoted thereto and the goods are inserted on and removed from the trays through an opening provided with a door. Electric heating elements 4 are arranged between the flights of the conveyer and are shrouded by casings 27. The conveyer is driven by an electric motor 13 through reducing gear or by a crank handle 19 through gearing. The casing 3 is provided with removable glass panels 5.
