Abstract

524,516. Electrically-heated ovens. UHLENDORFF, O. Jan. 31, 1939, No. 3280. Convention date, Jan. 31, 1938. [Class 39 (iii)] In an electrically-heated oven the goods to be heated are placed on a conveyer which consists of endless chains carrying trays or pans, and which work in two parallel vertical shafts 1 and 2. The fan 5 propels air through the heat-. ing-shaft 3 into the distributing-chamber 7 in which there is a series of vanes which direct air on to the goods in shaft 1. Similarly, the fan 6 propels air through shaft 4 into the chamber 13, and thence into shaft 2. The outer walls of the conveyer-shafts have perforations opening into flues 11 and 12, from which the fans 5 and 6 suck air and pass it into chambers 3 and 4 for reheating. The vanes in chambers 7 and 13 may be rotatable and adjustable, and they decrease in length from top to bottom.
