Abstract
379,669. Endless belt conveyers. SHUWALOW, W. M., 45, Bolschaja Jakimanka, and LEONOW, A. 1., 63, Tverskaja- Jamskaja, both in Moscow. April 30, 1931, No. 12742. [Class 78 (i).] Apparatus for transferring trays of biscuits from a stamping machine conveyer 2 and distributing them to positions in front of a number of divisions of the baking oven, to be engaged by pawls on the oven conveyers and carried into the oven, comprises a constantly rotating shaft 4 carrying three or more arms 5, 6,7 having pivoted at their outer ends frames 8 maintained horizontal by counterweights 9. The middle arm 5 which is rigidly mounted on the shaft 4, picks up the trays from the guides 3 of the stamping machine and deposits them on to the guides 11 of the middle oven division. The outer arms 6, 7 are connected together by a member 13 and slidably mounted on the shaft by feather keys engaging grooves 4a, 4b in the shaft. Intermittent reciprocating movement is imparted to the arms 6, 7 by a connecting rod 18 engaging a crank pin 14 on a disc 15 driven by gearing 23, 24 from the shaft 4, so that these arms feed the trays to the outer divisions 10, 12 of the oven. The pinion 24 has no teeth on a portion of its periphery to give periods of rest between the reciprocations, during which the arm 5 feeds a tray to the middle division of the oven. With an even number of oven divisions the arm rigidly fixed to the shaft is omitted.
