Abstract

533,035. Valve generating circuits ; changing wave form. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., BARNARD, R. M., and KRAM, W. Aug. 4, 1939, No. 22670. [Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXXV] Sinusoidal waves are converted into waves of approximately square formation by (1) passing them through a half-wave rectifier, e.g. a diode V1 the output of which is connected to the input of a saturated pentode V2, or (2) passing them through two saturated pentodes in cascade Fig. 3 (not shown). To ensure complete saturation of the pentode, the anode voltage is less than that of the screen grid.
