Abstract

532,815. Fire extinguishing grenades. PUCHNER, E. July 27, 1939, No. 21873. Convention date, July 29, 1938. [Class 47 (ii) A fire extinguishing bomb has the powder) mass 17 conglomerated by pressure in a mould and is provided at the centre with a detonator 8 giving a sharp shor explosion which pul. verizes the mass. The bomb has a wood or other handle 1 with a hollow attachment 2 closed at 4 forming base support for the extinguishing material A tube 6 is attached to the handle. The extin guishing material is passed over the tube 6 An explosive such a; nitra - pentaerythrile may be enclosed in a tube 8 of copper, zinc or celluloid &c. as to be air and water tight. A primer 14 is added and a striker 12. A thermic system may be employed to fire the primer. The bomb may have a protection cap 22 easily rupturable.
