Abstract

531,695. Ammunition boxes ; aircraft accessories. KOOLHOVEN, S. F. W. July 13, 1939, No. 20415. Convention date, July 15, 1938. [Classes 9 (i) and 92 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIII] Cartridge-belt boxes 5 for ready insertion into the wings of aircraft through a small opening 11, Fig. 3, are hinged together end to end at 16, Fig. 4, and are provided with rollers 10 running on tracks 9 fixed to the wing. The tracks are curved at 12 to enable the boxes to turn through 90 degrees as they pass through the opening 11. The rollers 10 at the free end of the front box 5 are supported by stirrups 20. The belt 14, arranged as shown in Fig. 4, passes over rollers 17 and through a guide 15 leading to the gun 13. The boxes are provided with hinged lids 18.
