Abstract

582,509. Automatic guns. MARTIN CO., G. L. Feb. 7, 1944, No. 2211. Convention date, April 30, 1943, [Class 92 (ii)] Cartridges are fed from belt boxes 6 situated within the fuselage of an aeroplane to remote nose or tail guns 2 along tracks 7. which support the rounds in vertical positions, roller tracks 13, Fig. 2, being provided for the cartridge bases. The invention is shown applied to feeding a pair of guns, the feed being augmented by motors 8 driving sprockets engaging the cartridges. Specifications 538,808 and 558,453 are referred to.
