Abstract

537,144. Cartridge belt guides. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and BRENTNALL, G. C. Nov. 10, 1939, No. 29820. [Class 92 (ii)] Relates to guides for machine gun cartridge belts of the kind comprising metal channel-section members 1 joined at intervals by metal strips 4. According to the invention, slitted rubber bead members 5, 6 are attached to the edges of the members 1 to form contact surfaces for the cartridges. Graphite for lubricating may be applied to the beads or incorporated in the rubber composition from which they are made. Specification 527,076 is referred to.
