Abstract

528,911. Aircraft gun turrets. FAIRY AVIATION CO., Ltd., and LOBELLE, M. J. O. May 6, 1939, No. 13573. [Class 92 (i)] [Also in Group XXXIII ] An aircraft has detachable wing portions attachable to a mid-wing section including a substantially lenticular frame or structure accommodating upper and lower rotatable gun turrets which may be projected upwardly and downwardly. The whole machine may be formed with separate detachable sections as shown in Fig. 5, secured together about the central section a which carries the gun turrets, the central section for this purpose being formed with recesses and projections presenting flat surfaces to which the various components are attached.
