[Class 145 (ii)] A motor driven chain saw 4 having a supporting frame and a gear box 2 with bevel gear is provided with a detachable tube 5 fixed to the gear box, enclosing a driving shaft and adapted to serve as a handle. The motor 1 may be fixed to the tube 5 or may be connected thereto by a flexible non-rotating sheath enclosing a flexible driving shaft. When the motor 1 is fixed to tube 5, a tube 6 may serve as an additional handle.
