[Class 137] Air from a fan 18 is directed in a sinuous path over a number of annular gilled-tube heating elements 6, 7, 8 in a casing 5 by annular baffles 30, 31. The casing is supported by a structure 37 along the surface of which is an air passage 38 directing the air to an aperture 13 at the back of the casing. The mouth 32 of the casing is flared to form an annular outlet opening 33 at the periphery of the front 14. The air may be directed outwards through an annular gap in the casing covered by gauze or through an annular opening towards the centre of the front. Specification 518,122 is referred to.
